1. Nate Kaeding (6-0, 185), Iowa
Best of the bunch. A good athlete, he was on Iowa state championship basketball and soccer teams. Consistent pressure kicker, he is more accurate than long.
2. B.J. Sander (6-3, 220), Ohio St.
Almost half of punts downed inside 20.
3. Josh Scobee (6-1, 190), LSU
Best kickoff man, long-range kicker.
4. David Kimball (6-1, 200), Penn St.
Almost half of his kickoffs went for touchbacks, but otherwise untested.
5. Donnie Jones (6-2, 220) LSU
Like Sander a left-footer, he had an 86-yard punt, but his hang time inconsistent.
Local hero
Nick Setta (5-11, 204), Notre Dame
The Lockport High graduate lacks the booming leg kickers need to get drafted, but will get a shot as a free agent.
Sleeper pick
Steve Azar (5-7, 190) Northern Illinois
Overlooked, but confident four-time all-MAC placekicker.
