Storm Hymnal: Gems from the Vaults of Grant Lee Buffalo
While the alt-rock revolution opened some doors for Grant Lee Buffalo, none opened quite wide enough to let the trio break through to the mainstream. That’s a shame, since the group’s glammy folk-rock never quite fit in with anything else. This double-disc compilation collects the best of four albums and adds 14 rarities and alternate takes. The best-of, predictably, goes down easy, but the rarities are a real treat, sounding like a cache of hidden gems.
