Lindsay Wisdom-Hylton

6-3 senior forward,

Neuqua Valley

First Illinois girls basketball player to surpass 500 in points (1,752), rebounds (1,200), steals (662), block-ed shots (556) and assists (500). She ranks third on IHSA list in career blocks and steals. Averaged 15 points, 10.5 rebounds and led Wildcats to Elite Eight as a freshman and sophomore. College: Purdue

Candace Parker,

6-3 senior forward,

Naperville Central

After sitting out first 11 games while recovering from a torn ACL, lifted Redhawks to a second consecutive Class AA state title. Could be the first player to win Ms. Basketball three times, she averaged 24.3 points, 10.9 rebounds and three assists. Central won 58 consecutive games with her in lineup. College: Tennessee

Lauren Lacey,

6-3 senior center,

Marian Catholic

The Spartans never had reached the Elite Eight until Lacey emerged as a sophomore. She’s led the team in scoring, rebounding and to three consecutive appearances Downstate. This year she averaged 19.9 points and 5.3 rebounds a game and for her career wound up with 1,815 points. College: Minnesota

Lindsay Schrader,

6-foot junior guard,

Bartlett

Overcame a serious problem with internal bleeding late in the season, but still finished strong with 26 points, 24 rebounds in sectional loss to Jacobs. Averaged 20.1 points, 10.3 rebounds and 2.4 steals and had 1,649 career points. Several college offers on table — inclulding Illinois and Notre Dame.

Allie Quigley,

5-11 senior guard,

Joliet Catholic

Could be the best multisport athlete in the state–boys or girls. A first-team Tribune volleyball selection after leading the Angels to the AA state title. In basketball averaged 26 points, 10.1 rebounds, 3.7 assists — and scored 32 in upset over Marian Catholic. Hit .440 in softball last season. College: DePaul for basketball.

5-6 senior guard

Won state title in 2001, had a career record of 136-11 and among top 24 tennis players in the state. Averaged 17.5 points, 5.5 assists, 4.9 steals. College: Georgetown

Kristi Cirone,

Resurrection,

5-6 junior guard

A highlight reel on Dec. 27 when she scored 43 points for Bandits in overtime victory over Prospect. Averaged 21 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.9 assists.

Deirdre Naughton,

New Trier,

5-10 junior G/F

Led Trevians to second appearance in a state final, first since 1989. Averaged 18.5 points, 4.6 rebounds, 3.2 steals after missing 11 games with broken foot.

Charese Reed,

Marshall,

5-10, senior forward

One of the area’s out-standing athletes, she has dunked in a summer-league game. “Tudy” averaged 18.5 points and 9.5 rebounds for the Commandos. College: Rutgers

Natasha Williams,

Niles North,

6-3 senior center

An intimidating defender, she’s a scorer, too. Averaged 18 points, 11 rebounds. College: Minnesota
