An Oct. 4 trial date has been set in the federal sexual harassment case brought by two Chicago-area women against University of North Carolina women’s soccer coach Anson Dorrance. Plaintiffs Debbie Keller and Melissa Jennings recently retained separate lawyers to represent them after they disagreed on whether to continue to try to settle the case, which was filed in 1998 in U.S. District Court in Chicago and will be heard in Greensboro, North Carolina. Dorrance, whose teams have won 18 championships in 25 years, has denied charges that he acted inappropriately. Keller, a forward who was 1996 college Player of the Year, is now a hairstylist in Raleigh.
