“Martha Stewart Living,” Stewart’s hour-long daily syndicated lifestyle show, has been dropped by the Viacom station group, a CBS spokesman said Monday.

WBBM-Ch. 2, the Viacom-owned CBS station in Chicago, said Friday night’s broadcast of Stewart’s show was the station’s last. Channel 2 will replace the show by joining CBS News’ overnight newscast one hour earlier.

The show reached nearly one-third of the nation’s households through 18 Viacom-owned stations, including 12 CBS affiliates, in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and other large markets. “Martha Stewart Living” is syndicated by King World Productions, also owned by Viacom.

The Tribune also reported Saturday that it would no longer run Stewart’s weekly syndicated column.

Stewart’s daily cable show on the Food Network, “From Martha’s Kitchen,” will continue for now, a spokeswoman said.
