Set List

At this point, the Frames have released a pair of live albums, perhaps excessive for a relatively young group still on its way up. But “Set List,” the Irish band’s second live disc in two years, demonstrates that the band on stage is even better and more charismatic than the band in the studio, in no small part due to magnetic singer Glen Hansard. The music remains a mish-mash of loud Pixies-like alt-rock and quieter, vaguely folksy moments, but the Dublin audience at this 2002 show eats even the most familiar indie-rock retreads right up.
