“Matchstick Men”

Warner Bros., $27.95

WHO’S IN IT: Nicolas Cage, Sam Rockwell, Alison Lohman

RECAP: An obsessive-compulsive con man learns he has a long-lost daughter, who makes him want to change his life and line of work.

BEST EXTRA: The excellent, three-part, hour-plus making-of, “Tricks of the Trade,” documents how director Ridley Scott was able to complete a smaller film in between much bigger, long-term projects.

SECRETS REVEALED: Scott likes Jack Russell terriers so much that he regularly held up location shoots in parks to say hello to the dogs.

FEATURE TO SKIP: The included soundtrack CD is a thoughtful extra, but nothing special.

TRIVIA: Cage and Scott are regular cigar smokers.

IF YOU LIKED THIS, TRY: “Confidence,” a more overlooked con-job movie from last year.

“Chappelle’s Show: Season One Uncensored!”

Paramount, $26.99

WHO’S IN IT: Dave Chappelle

RECAP: Comedian Dave Chappelle skewers pop culture and race relations with sometimes shocking no-holds-barred sketches.

BEST EXTRA: RZA and GZA of the Wu-Tang Clan crack up trying to play it straight as financial consultants.

SECRETS REVEALED: When in doubt, Chappelle recommends, end a sketch with a joke about boobs, poop or masturbation.

FEATURE TO SKIP: The ample deleted scenes and outtakes are OK, but listening to Chappelle and co-creator Neal Brennan laugh at their own abandoned jokes on their optional commentary track is lame.

TRIVIA: Chappelle based the infamous sketch about a blind, black white supremacist on his very light-skinned blind grandfather, who was raised thinking he was blacker than he was.

IF YOU LIKED THIS, TRY: The second season of “Chappelle’s Show” is currently playing on Comedy Central.
