What went around last year is coming back to Steve Inacker and the Lake Forest swim team. The 2003 Illinois champs are rebuilding. “Last year we were the big dogs,” said Inacker, the team’s lone returning state medalist. “This year … everybody wants to punish us for what we did to them last year.” The three-time relay All-American hopes to earn medals (top six) in individual events (being among the fastest qualifiers) and compete with several Scout relay teams at the state meet. Inacker is the team leader this season. “It’s been fun to rile up the team and get everybody going,” he said. “It’s a new experience that I’ve enjoyed.”
