Illini seek their alltime best

Fans will get a chance to vote for the University of Illinois’ All-Century Team. The vote on the Internet (fightingillini.com) begins Wednesday and will run through April 5, officials announced Monday. The All-Century team coincides with the 100-year anniversary of Illinois basketball that the university will celebrate next season. Former Illini greats Johnny Kerr, Deon Thomas, Kiwane Garris, Brian Cook and Kendall Gill are among the 83 players listed on the ballot. Fifteen will be named to the team. The university is planning a series of events to commemorate the anniversary, including a reunion of former players in January 2005.
