Norah Jones

Feels Like Home

It’s hard enough to follow a multiplatinum debut, let alone a veritable left-field sensation such as Norah Jones’ “Come Away with Me.” Jones has been relatively upfront about that blandly beautiful album’s deficiencies. And while her second disc deviates too far, it reveals that she is willing to subtly fiddle with formula. However, in expanding her stylistic range ever so slightly, it ironically comes off as a little more generic. Regardless, Jones sounds confident, a good thing considering change for change’s sake is what usually sinks second albums.
