Anna-Jonesboro is one of the southernmost high schools in Illinois with one of the most prolific scorers in state girls basketball history. Kassie Drew, who transferred from Springfield Sacred Heart-Griffin after her sophomore year, is about to become the fifth girl to reach 3,000 points for a career and 1,000 for a season. “Really, it’s not the main focus,” she said of her statistical show–31.5 points, 7.6 steals, 7.5 rebounds and four blocks a game for a team ranked among the top 10 in Class A. “That’s an extra bonus. But it’s pretty cool.” The IHSA scoring list: Williamsville’s Angie Sapp (3,403), Peoria Richards’ Nora Lewis (3,314), Joliet East’s Pam Grant (3,205) and Bridgeport Red Hill’s Mandy Cunnngham (3,165).
