Barring unexpected problems, forward Andre Brown is set to return to the DePaul lineup Saturday for a Conference USA game at East Carolina, coach Dave Leitao said Monday.
The 6-foot-9-inch senior, who averaged 13.1 points and 10.6 rebounds in eight games, has been out since Dec. 27 with a bruised right knee. Brown was in uniform “on emergency call” last Saturday when DePaul (10-7, 3-3) lost to Marquette 70-62 in Milwaukee.

Stockman back at OSU
Guard Tony Stockman, Ohio State’s leading scorer, worked out with the team Monday and should play Wednesday against Wisconsin, coach Jim O’Brien said.
O’Brien did not permit Stockman to travel with the Buckeyes to Saturday’s game at Iowa, saying, “I’m just going to give him a couple of days off to kind of evaluate where he is and what he wants to do with his career.”
Players of the week
Illinois-Chicago’s Cedrick Banks was named Horizon League player of the week after scoring 52 points in games against Wisconsin-Green Bay and Wright State. . . . Wisconsin’s Mike Wilkinson and Indiana’s Bracey Wright were Big Ten co-players of the week. It was Wright’s third such honor.
