Who’s in it: Ben Stiller, Jennifer Aniston, Alec Baldwin, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Hank Azaria

What it’s about: Risk-averse Reuben Feffer’s (Stiller) plans for life careen off track when his bride dumps him. Humiliated, he plans to play it safer than ever. A chance encounter with adventure-craving Polly (Aniston) shoots him into a whirlwind of extreme sports, spicy foods and living in the moment.

Worth watching? (star)(star) 1/2

“The best reason to see ‘Along Came Polly’ is the supporting cast: Hoffman is a hoot as a slobbish thespian whose girth enters a room well before the rest of him. … Baldwin hambones his way through the role of a boisterous business type with foul-mouthed panache, and Azaria practically steals the opening.”
