You can’t accuse Dennis Miller of hiding his true beliefs. Launching his prime-time talk show “Dennis Miller” on CNBC on Monday, the former “SNL” wag said he’s a unique mix of conservative and liberal.

“I’ll be honest with you; 9/11 changed me,” he said. “I’m shocked it didn’t change everybody as much as it changed me. Simple fact is, I’m of both persuasions. If two gay guys want to get married, I could care less. If some psycho from another country wants to blow up their wedding, I expect my government to kill him pre-emptively. I guess that makes me a right-wing fanatic, and I’m more than happy to bask in that assignation.”

He said he plans to vote for George W. Bush in November and doesn’t intend to bury his personal politics. Oh, and one other thing: He’ll have a sidekick, a chimp known as Muggsie, in honor of the old “Today” show’s simian personality, J. Fred Muggs.

“He’s going to wear color-coded T-shirts to sync up with the terror-alert level,” Miller said.
