Looks like you’re not the only one cleaning house. At least two of your favorite furniture stores are doing it too.

So, if you’ve had your heart set on new home furnishings or eyewear designs but wished the prices were just a tad lower, this is your lucky month.

I.D., the Lincoln Park eyewear and home-furnishings store — known for its cutting-edge modern designs — has slashed its prices 20 to 50 percent through Jan. 31.

“We’re just clearing things out to make way for the spring merchandise,” says Steven Burgert, one of I.D.’s owners.

The store’s January sale could mean big savings for those who have admired its featured designs from afar. For example, the Artifort Orange Slice chair, which was $1,500, is now $1,050; Prada eyewear designs, that were $250, are now $200; and the Tonsisk ceramic and walnut wood tea set, which was $180, is now $144.

I.D. is at 3341 N. Clark St. For more information, call 773-755-4343.

Stitch, which has a penchant for modern design, is also having a sale this month.

The Bucktown store, which features furnishings by such designers as Jonathan Adler, the Tabletop Construction design group and Michael Anichin, is marking everything down 10 to 50 percent.

This means sofas that are normally $1,800 are now $1,300; nesting tables, once $380, are now $340; ottomans usually $290 are now $220.

Stitch is at 1723 N. Damen Ave. For more information, call 773-782-1570.
