Titans have fans in Naperville

Larry McKeon watched Saturday’s AFC wild-card game with more than just a passing interest. The 20-year Naperville North football coach had two former players on Tennessee’s roster–RB Chris Brown (1999 graduate) and WR Justin McCareins (1998)–and both scored TDs in the Titans’ 20-17 win over Baltimore. “We don’t get a lot of Titans games here, but when we do we make sure to watch,” McKeon said. “It was such a fluke that they both got drafted by the Titans.” McKeon said that the success of his former All-Staters is a testament to Naperville North’s knack for luck. “We’re very fortunate to have those athletes come through our program–it means that we didn’t steer them the wrong way,” he said.
