Key runs of 8-0 and 9-2 in the 2nd half pushed Hyde Park (9-2, 1-0) past the Cavaliers. Stefhon Hannah and Mark Easley had 19 and 17 points, respectively, for Hyde Park. Quentin Cassell’s game-high 24 points led CVS (6-7, 0-1).

Alex Nowak (11) and Mario Brandon (12) tallied 6 points apiece in the 4th as Curie (9-5, 1-0) outlasted Robeson. The Condors used a 9-0 spurt in the 3rd to push ahead 34-28 and never lost the lead. Kevin Sabbs’ 15 points and Justin Brown’s 13 paced Robeson (6-5, 0-1).

Brandon Weeks’ 11-point, 11-rebound effort led the Greyhounds (6-6, 1-0). Standell King added 15 for Hubbard, while James Wright recorded 21 points for the Cardinals (8-5, 0-1).

Anthony Ross nailed two free throws with 2.1 seconds remaining, sealing win for the Hornets (5-5, 1-0). Donald Brown led Foreman with 31 points and Ross finished with 9.

Michael West’s game-winning jumper with 7 seconds left broke a 54-54 tie for Minutemen (10-5, 1-0). Courtney Horton led all scorers with 22 points for Washington.

Sara Stutz’s 25 points–12 in the 1st quarter and 9 in the 3rd–powered the Titans (16-0). Regina led 46-41 entering the 4th, but Glenbrook South took the lead for good at 3:49 on a jumper by Erin Lauesen. Lauren Schober finished with 27 points, 10 rebounds for Regina (8-10), but missed the game-tying three at the buzzer.

Jill Hushka had 12 points and Erin Riemersma collected 10 for the Eagles (12-4). The Lions (11-5) were led by Mallory Heydorn’s 14 points.

After trailing 20-18 in the 1st quarter, the Redwings (16-3, 2-1) outscored St. Viator 26-10 over the next two quarters. Amy Hunckler’s 18 points and Chandra Smith’s 17 points propelled Benet, while Krista Mayyou tallied 20 points and three rebounds in the loss for the Lions (8-6, 0-3).

Seniors Allison Strimel (18) and Jenny Stinich (13) combined for 31 points to give the Roadrunners (11-6) the home win.
