UPN has signed comedian Scott Henry to a talent holding deal with an eye toward developing a series for the 2004 development season.
Writer-producer Scott Tomlinson is getting first crack at the Henry comedy.
Tomlinson, a writer on Fox’s “Cedric the Entertainer Presents” and head writer on MTV’s “The Andy Dick Show,” is working on a pilot based on Henry’s stand-up act. The show would focus on Henry’s clashes with his conservative Midwestern family.

If the Tomlinson project fails to come together, UPN will probably plug Henry into a different comedy project.
Henry, who is from Milwaukee, is a longtime veteran of the stand-up circuit. He has appeared on A&E’s “Evening at the Improv” and Comedy Central’s “Premium Blend.”
