Meant to play for St. Charles

Brandon Eichhorn had a St. Charles attitude before moving into the Saints’ part of town to attend East. He moved from Ohio last July, where he attended, oddly enough, St. Charles Prep School in Bexley, a Columbus suburb. “It was just a crazy coincidence,” said Eichhorn, 18. “My friends in Ohio thought it was hilarious.” The senior left wing leads the hockey team (12-15-2) with 29 goals, 14 assists. But Eichhorn, who lived in St. Charles, Ill., until 1993, can’t wear his old St. Charles wear–Prep’s colors are red and black and it’s the Cardinals. The Saints’ colors are orange and black. Eichhorn, who also plays lacrosse, won the Ohio Midget AA state title with Team Columbus in the spring of 2002.
