The WB has decided that “Steve Harvey’s Big Time” deserves a full season after all. The network has ordered six more episodes of the “Real People”-ish variety show, bringing the total number for “Big Time’s” inaugural season to the industry-standard 22.

“I think we have a show that is a different genre that hasn’t been on TV in a while,” Jordan Levin, The WB’s co-CEO, tells The Hollywood Reporter.

“Big Time” features regular people doing irregular things, from hip-hop-dancing 4-year-olds to people who perform feats of strength with their teeth. “Kings of Comedy” star Harvey hosts.

The show is averaging about 3.3 million viewers a week, making it the most-watched of the WB’s four freshman comedies. Airing opposite “Friends” and “Survivor” at 7 p.m. Thursdays, it also ranks third in its time slot among adults ages 18 to 34.
