Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Every week the Magazine is brought to you by our little team here. Editors, writers, photographers and art directors are part of a constant conversation: What is the best way to tell a story? Will this one resonate with readers? Each issue feels like a juggling act as we balance what we think our readers want with what we think they might need. We try to talk to and listen to our readers, to stay in touch with their passions and concerns, but also to anticipate trends and make discoveries that will educate and surprise.

All this might sound rather high-minded and cerebral, but when all is said–but not done–we are highly dependent on production assistant Anna Seeto to help us translate good intentions into actual Magazine pages. Resolute and unflappable even when the computer devours a carefully edited and designed page, pushing us within a hair of missing our deadline, Anna sits right in the eye of the hurricane–and never gets bounced off her seat.

Many stories in the Magazine, including this week’s cover story about what it takes to be a Navy SEAL, have been in the works for months. Anna is the person who finally ushers them out the door and bids farewell as they head for the printer–and eventually land in your hands.

Without her, we might still be talking.
