Q–What’s your most memorable victory on the court? Was it your victory over a No. 1 New Trier team at Dundee-Crown a couple of years ago that was then upstaged by Candace Parker’s historic dunk?
A–No. My freshman year, when we played (defending state champ) Buffalo Grove in the sectionals–and won. That was the last game I played with my sister, Brittani.
Q–How did the loss for the season of 6-2 senior Tracy Salliard, who has a herniated disc, affect the team?
A–That really hurt when we found out she couldn’t play. And we know how much this must hurt her. But we know that, in a way, it’ll make us stronger. We can’t lose our vision for this season.
Q–Volleyball, soccer or basketball?
A–I like them all, but basketball is the one I’m going to play in college.

Q–You’re being recruited by Michigan, Iowa State and Lehigh. What’s the first thing you look for in a college campus?
A–How I get along with the people there. How nice the campus is. And it’s got to have the academics I want. Something in the sciences. I want to be either a forensic scientist or a science teacher at a high school so I can coach basketball.
Q–What’s your favorite class?
A–Human physiology. We’re learning a lot about the anatomy, what goes on in the body and how we hear.
Q–Ice cream, doughnuts or cookies?
A–Ice cream. It comes in so many flavors. My favorite is “Superman” ice cream, but I can only get that in Michigan. I haven’t found it anywhere in Illinois. It’s sort of like a banana, bubble gum and blue moon mixture.
Q–What do you like best about living in Arlington Heights?
A–We live in such a good neighborhood with lots of kids. I’ve lived in the same house my entire life.
