Oscar winner Brenda Fricker, Corbin Bernsen and Saul Rubinek have joined the cast of USA’s movie about Hollywood madam Heidi Fleiss.
Robert Davi (“Profiler,” “Showgirls”) and Emmanuelle Vaugier (“Smallville”) also have signed on to the film, the network says.
“Going Down: The Rise and Fall of Heidi Fleiss,” which stars Jamie-Lynn DiScala, will track Fleiss’ life from her teenage years as the son of a Beverly Hills doctor (Rubinek), her entry and rise in the call-girl business and her ultimate downfall in court.
Fricker, who won the best supporting actress Oscar in 1990 for “My Left Foot,” will play Madam Alex, Fleiss’ mentor. Davi will play Fleiss’ boyfriend, Vaugier one of Fleiss’ call girls and Bernsen a Hollywood producer whose name is in Fleiss’ infamous black book.
Fleiss was convicted of pandering, money laundering and tax evasion in a media-intensive trial in the mid-1990s. The conviction was thrown out on appeal, but she was found guilty of similar charges in a second trial and served two years in prison.
