Halloween revelers at the 16th annual Red Masque Ball in the abandoned corridors of the old nurses’ dormitory at Michael Reese Medical Center, 2816 S. Ellis Ave., will be treated to wines from Mendocino Wine Growers Alliance and cuisine from Chicago restaurants including Gioco, Magnum’s Bistro, Blue Point, La Vita and Bar Louie. LeeAnn Trotter of “metromix: the tv show” will emcee “Novemberfest: A Celebration of Food, Wine and Spirits” at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Excalibur Nightclub, 632 N. Dearborn St. Notable chefs from Chicago restaurants will provide food to be paired with wines from an array of vineyards and vintages with proceeds to benefit City of Hope Cancer Center.
