It was no secret who was scheduled to sing “Take Me Out To The Ball Game” in Game 1 as dozens of fans showed up in Hawaiian shirts and shorts in honor of Jimmy Buffet. But while the laid-back singer of classics such as “Margaritaville” sang in front of an electrified Wrigleyville crowd pleased to see the score tied 6-6 an inning earlier, fans lined the concourse waiting for him to leave. When he came out of the press box surrounded by a stadium detail of security, he smiled and waved and then was asked how this NLCS crowd compares with the ones at his concerts. “They treated me like royalty,” Buffet said with a smile as he was ushered away.
