Brian Schlitter caught 2 short TD passes and Albert DeCicco had 12 catches for 107 yards and a TD. “We were just taking what Warren’s defense was giving us and we went on from there,” Price said. “We hit on some nice fade routes and then hit them low with a few hitches. This is just a fun offense to be in because it allows us to throw the ball all over the field.”

Sr. RB Pierre Sims ran for 152 yards and a TD on 33 carries to lead the Mustangs (1-1) to the upset. The Morgan Park defense, which held Mt. Carmel to 9 points last week, held the Bulldogs’ powerful attack to 168 yards, while registering 6 sacks and forcing 3 turnovers. Jordan Eversley added 2 TD runs for the winners. Richards (1-1) drove to the Morgan Park 33, but turned the ball over on downs with :20 left after 4 straight Sean Lewis incompletions. Lewis was just 5-of-19 for 110 yards, and RB Dion Foster gained just 48 yards on 14 attempts.

QB Marcus Randle El ran for 2 TDs–including a 63-yarder–and passed for a TD to lead the Wildcats (2-0). Jason Jones ran for 196 yards and 2 TDs on 18 attempts for Thornwood (1-1). “Last year we ran all over them,” said Randle El of last year’s 48-0 win. “This year they played hard. They have some good athletes, but our defense did a good job.”

St. Laurence (0-2, 0-1) took a 20-13 lead on Bob Brow’s 4-yard TD run with 2:24 to play. A.J. Whooley had 128 yards, including an 88-yard TD scamper, on 15 carries for the Vikings.
