The Orland Park Village Board has appointed Assistant Village Manager R.J. Zeder to be village manager.
Zeder, who has served as assistant village manager since 1997, replaces Rick Boehm, who left Orland Park in April to become village manager in Oak Brook. Zeder has been acting village manager for the last five months.

Zeder will be responsible for day-to-day operations of the village, including development, budget, personnel and labor relations.
“I look forward to R.J. helping to implement the direction of myself and the Board of Trustees as we continue to tackle the issues that we identified as priorities, such as the Metra Triangle, major transportation improvements, flood control and open lands purchases,” Mayor Dan McLaughlin said.
Zeder’s experience includes several positions in Naperville and serving as village administrator for Sugar Grove.
