Hall of Fame jockey Gary Stevens feels like “an apprentice who got to ride in the Kentucky Derby” after portraying late jockey George Woolf in the movie “Seabiscuit.” Stevens, who will ride in Saturday’s Arlington Million, has received glowing reviews for his acting debut and may pursue a film career. He has received overtures to appear in three other motion pictures. “I felt very comfortable with the role,” said Stevens, 40. “I’d like to give other roles a try. But it’s a whole new endeavor. I never even was in a school play.” Before the movie opened, Stevens attended a private screening with President Bush in the White House. “It was a great honor,” Stevens said. “I won three Kentucky Derbies and never got invited.”
