Skin and the city

Now that the temps have finally spiked, the lakefront has been transformed into a mythic isle of volleyball goddesses, bronzed bikers, roller warriors and frolicking picnickers. Though summer invokes the minimal frock code, there was no shortage of style statements on Lake Michigan’s beachfront from Fullerton to Navy Pier on a recent weekend. Whether catching rays or partaking in sport, Chicagoans were delighted to alight from winter’s prolonged hibernation and indulge in the summer sunshine. The lakeside mantra? Let there be skin!
