A 10-foot-tall mirror that fell and killed a 6-year-old boy over the weekend was inadequately glued to a clothing-store wall, Lincolnwood building officials said Monday.
The mirror tipped over Saturday on Jonathan Villagomez of Chicago, causing fatal head injuries.
Lincolnwood officials inspected the scene and said only a third of the mastic, a heavy glue used to hold the mirror, had properly adhered to the wall of an Express store in the Lincolnwood Town Center shopping center.
