Mayor Richard M. Daley on Thursday flatly rejected a private pilot group’s plan to reopen Meigs Field and said he has no plans to reconsider his decision to close the airport.

On Friday, a Cook County judge is expected to decide whether to dismiss the group’s lawsuit challenging Daley’s abrupt shutdown of the airport in March.
