TS(‘3/23/03 10:36 am CST’): Something ‘unfortunate.’ U.S. Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld on CNN this hour: “I’m not in a position” to confirm reports of Americans missing or captured in Iraq. But he says the Geneva Convention forbids televising pictures of prisoners “in a humiliating manner.” He says TV networks that carry such pictures are “doing something that’s unfortunate.” Also says Iraqi regime “shortly will be history.”

TS(‘3/23/03 10:18 am CST’): Hunt for weapons. U.S. troops hunting for banned chemical and biological weapons and Scud missiles in Iraq have so far come up empty, the Pentagon says.
