Two recent conversations made me realize that everyone has a more exciting life than I do (though they probably get less sleep).
First, the friend with two adorable kids dropped by to chat. When I asked whether she’d had a nice weekend, she said brightly, “Yeah, it was fine. And I only had to call poison control once!”
Then there was the woman overheard chatting on her cell phone at an “L” stop:
“I don’t care what he says. If I have the choice between phone sex and a good night’s sleep, sometimes I’m taking the good night’s sleep!”
