INTANGIBLES
The Raiders have twice as much Super Bowl experience–10 players to five Buccaneers. They also have two 15-year players, quarterback Rich Gannon and receiver Tim Brown, desperate to make good on their first–and perhaps last–Super Bowl trips.
Tampa Bay coach Jon Gruden provides incentive for both teams. Some Raiders players believe he became a distraction last year when he was angling for a contract extension. They’ll want to beat him as much as they once wanted to win for him.
“He created an uptight atmosphere around the practice facility and meetings. Coach [Bill] Callahan is more laid-back,” Raiders receiver Jerry Porter said.

“He wants to rule the world. I’m 6-2. He is 5-foot-nothing. He has this little scrunch on his face when you’re around him. He takes little shots at you,” Raiders tackle Lincoln Kennedy said. “For me to try to look at him when he’s trying to be big and bad is hilarious.”
The Raiders also have Al Davis, a much more menacing pirate than Buccaneers owner Malcolm Glazer.
