“Velvet Eyes–Elizabeth Taylor,” presented in the Lunchtime Matinee series, reveals the evolution of the Hollywood star in films spanning more than 20 years of her career. The lineup includes “National Velvet” (1944), directed by Clarence Brown, Monday; “Father of the Bride” (1950) by Vicente Minnelli, Tuesday; “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof” (1958) by Richard Brooks, Wednesday; “Butterfield 8” (1960) by Daniel Mann, Thursday; and “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?” (1966), a film directed by Mike Nichols in which Taylor and Richard Burton play husband and wife, Jan. 31.
