The Music Box continues its MGM musicals series with “The Bandwagon” (1953), directed by Vicente Minnelli. Fred Astaire portrays a has-been star who tries to find fame on Broadway. Cyd Charisse and Nanette Fabray join in the singing and dancing. On a more modern note, the midnight double-feature includes “Pi” (a 1998 black-and-white film by Darren Aronofsky where the protagonist tries building a supercomputer that explains all existence) followed by “Fight Club,” (1999) by David Fincher starring Ed Norton and Brad Pitt.
