CBS on Monday confirmed reports of a proposed drama series set in Chicago from Mel Gibson’s production company.

A network spokeswoman said CBS has received the script for “Chi-Town,” which revolves around two sisters involved in the Chicago political scene. Gibson’s Icon Productions would make the project along with Viacom Productions, targeted for the 2003-04 season.

Gibson and partner Bruce Davey are also producing a proposed drama called “3 Card Monte” for UPN. The pair previously made “The Three Stooges” movie for ABC.
