Love? She has the kid covered

A schoolboy was trudging down a Chicago sidewalk on a recent morning, dragging his backpack as snowflakes whistled around him. From a window a few floors up in the apartment building he had just left, a woman’s voice rang out: “Zip up your coat!”

“I will!” the boy called out, not looking up.

A few seconds later, the voice rang out again. “Zip up your coat!”

“I will!” the boy yelled again, still not looking up.

A few seconds more . . . “I SAID ZIP UP YOUR COAT!!”

The boy, without looking up, reached for his coat as the voice from the window sang out, sweetly: “I love you!”
