In conjunction with the exhibition “Here and Now,” which features the works of emerging Chicagoland artists, Chicago Filmmakers and the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs are presenting “Recent Film and Video by Chicago Artists.” This two-part series will feature a broad spectrum of works by local filmmakers and video artists in their 20s and 30s. The screenings range from the 12-minute video “Round” by Daniele Wilmouth and Hiroshi McDonald-Mori, who filmed dancers and their shadows, to “Souvenirs of Love,” a 12-minute video by Kyle Harris that uses images and a prisoner’s letter about Timothy McVeigh to create a disturbing portrait of America.
