A Naperville man was taken into custody early Tuesday after a city police officer stopped him for a minor traffic violation and learned that he was wanted on felony charges in Kentucky.

David Ramsey, 26, of the 1500 block of Fairway Drive was charged with one count of fugitive from justice. He was being held in the DuPage County Jail in Wheaton to await proceedings to extradite him to Kentucky.

Ramsey was stopped at Bighorn Road and Washington Street, police said. The officer conducted a routine name check and discovered Ramsey was wanted on an out-of-state felony warrant for first-degree stalking, second-degree stalking, unlawful transaction with a minor, intimidating a witness and two counts of harassing communications, police said. The warrant was issued Nov. 19 in Boone County, Ky., and carried a cash bond of $300,000, police said.

Ramsey was arrested without incident, police said.
