Altoids are so yesterday! Instead, kids are getting fresh by chomping on peach Smints.
“They’re good, but it’s all just a big trend,” said Conor Camp, 12, of Chicago. “It’s probably gonna be around for the rest of the year.”
The peach-flavored mints aren’t a cinch to find–check discount and grocery stores–and they’re a pricey $1.75 or so per 40-mint pack.
A Google Web search reveals scads of peach Smints mentions. One fan site even maintained that the peachy pieces lead to bad breath but are still cool . . . which we asked Conor about.
“Um . . . I don’t really smell my breath afterward,” he said. And his Smints-chewing pals? “Their breath isn’t exactly pleasant, but it’s normal.”
