A Lisle boy was killed when the motorcycle he was riding collided Wednesday with a car at 75th and Williams Streets.
Timothy M. Kuzmicki, 16, of the 500 block of Maple Avenue was pronounced dead at the scene after a 2003 Mercedes-Benz hit his 1987 Honda CBR 600 motorcycle, said Downers Grove Police Lt. Lee Hahn.
Kuzmicki, who was not wearing a helmet, had a valid driver’s license, but did not have the classification required to operate a motorcycle, Hahn said.
Kuzmicki was headed east on 75th Street. The driver of the Mercedes, a Plainfield man, was headed west on the five-lane road. Both had a green signal. The vehicles collided as the driver of the Mercedes attempted a left turn onto Williams Street, Hahn said.
No citations have been issued, and the investigation is ongoing, Hahn said.
