Illinois coach Ron Turner said the chances injured receiver Brandon Lloyd will play Saturday against Ohio State are “50-50.”

Lloyd sustained a hip flexor against Wisconsin and sat out the rest of the game.

Turner’s update is a bit more pessimistic than it was Sunday.

“He’s optimistic about playing,” Turner said. “I’m not so sure. I’d say it’s 50-50 at this point. If he doesn’t practice a whole lot, he’s not going to play. We’re hoping that he will.”

Lloyd leads the Illini with 55 receptions for 910 yards and seven touchdowns.
