True stories are being sought for an upcoming “Chicken Soup for the Soul” book to be titled “Chicken Soup for the Single Parent’s Soul.”

Writers whose stories are chosen for the book will receive $300 and a small biography in the back of the book. Deadline for submissions is Aug. 1.
