Reeltime presents “5 Girls,” a documentary that offers a portrayal of young women from different ethnic backgrounds in Chicagoland. They illustrate the strength of adolescent girls as they grapple with issues such as financial difficulties, the divorce of parents, life as an immigrant and body image.
Evanston filmmaker Maria Finitzo, who produced and directed the film, will be present for a discussion after the screening. “5 Girls” screens at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Mary and Leigh Block Museum of Art, 1967 S. Campus Drive, Northwestern University, Evanston, free; 847-866-0312.
