Move over couch potatoes and tomatoes. Designer recliners–from La-Z-Boy, no less–are “in the house.”
Seven fashion designers known for their chic-to-chic style and “phat” fashion sense (ask a teen for translation if you need one) have put their spins on recliners that will be auctioned on eBay (www.eBay.com) between March 25 and April 4. Bidding will start at $500. Sales will benefit Bailey House, New York’s leading provider of housing and supportive services for people living with AIDS.
These recliners add a spark of creativity to La-Z-Boy and extend “our new look of comfort concept,” says Kurt L. Darrow, president of La-Z-Boy, which has heightened its focus on slimmer and more stylish design in the last few years.
