Chicago Children’s Museum’s newly opened hands-on exhibit “Body Odyssey” teaches children and families how systems of the body work and how to manage health-related conditions such as obesity, asthma and stress.

Visitors also can get answers to such puzzlers as whether bacteria or viruses cause colds, why breakfast is so important and whether someone can catch asthma from a friend.

The museum is at 700 E. Grand Ave. on Navy Pier. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday, closed Mondays (except some school holidays). Admission is $6.50 per person, $5.50 for seniors and free for museum members and children under 1. Free-admission LaSalle Bank Free Family Nights are from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursdays.
