Zion-Benton owned the fourth quarter against rival Warren Saturday night.
Andre White scored 16 points on 7-of-18 shooting and made the go-ahead layup with 3 minutes 15 seconds left as the host Zee-Bees handed No. 17 Warren a 45-38 defeat.
Zion-Benton (7-1) fell behind 12-5 after one quarter. The Zee-Bees then turned the tables on Warren in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Blue Devils 14-3.
“We knew it was going to be a hard-fought game because Warren is such a good team,” Zion-Benton coach Don Kloth said. “We struggled a bit on offense in the first [half], but we stepped it up in the second.”
Warren was 1-of-10 from the field in the fourth. Chris Ihlenfeldt’s basket with 3:54 left tied the game 38-38, but the Blue Devils were shut out the rest of the way.
Ashton Hughes led Warren (4-2) with 13 points, while Quinten Herring and Ihlenfeldt each scored 10 points.
Julian Lott added 11 points for Zion-Benton.
Proviso East 67, Leyden 50: Dee Brown dropped in 27 points and Charles Richardson and Shannon Brown added 12 points each as the top-ranked Pirates (6-0, 2-0) survived Leyden’s three-point barrage in the first half for the West Suburban Gold win. Shaun Rose scored 12 for Leyden, which trailed by one at halftime before getting outscored 22-12 in the third quarter.
Benton (Ky.) Shootout: Ryan Morton and Demetrius Green had 19 points each for Lexington Catholic, the second-ranked team in Kentucky, in a 99-74 rout of No. 8 Julian (1-1).

Sean Dockery led the Jaguars with 28 points and nine rebounds, but he picked up his fourth foul early in the third quarter with Julian down 50-38. With the Duke-bound Dockery on the bench, Lexington Catholic took an 81-56 lead after three quarters. James Watson added 20 points for Julian.
Schaumburg 74, Naperville Central 56: Tony Young and Brandon Reichel each scored 16 points as the No. 12 Saxons (7-1) bounced back from Friday night’s loss to Barrington. Ryan Paradise led Naperville Central (3-5) with a game-high 20 points.
St. Rita 68, University High 33: Jerrah Young scored 14 points to lead the No. 15 Mustangs (6-1).
Barrington 66, Walther Lutheran 61: Jason Richards and Charlie Knapik scored 12 points apiece for the Broncos (7-1). David Vasser’s 26 points led Walther.
Bartlett 86, St. Charles North 54: Anthony Maestranzi scored 36 points to lead the Hawks (7-1, 2-1) in the Upstate Eight.
Elgin 55, DeKalb 42: Quinton Howard scored 20 points as the Maroons (3-5, 2-1) forced 18 turnovers en route to the Upstate Eight victory. John Battista led DeKalb (4-3, 1-2) with 10 points.
Glenbrook South 80, Morton 75 (OT): Dave Gershonzon led the Titans (3-5) with 32 points to outlast Morton.
Gordon Tech 102, St. Gregory 46: Mike Lang scored 18 points and Joe Soroko added 11 points as the Rams (5-1) cruised. Twelve players scored for Gordon Tech, which led 31-12 after one quarter. Tyrus Tucker paced St. Gregory with 17 points.
Hinsdale Central 36, Lincoln-Way Central 26: Steve Schweer scored 11 points as the Red Devils (5-1) won the non-conference game. Dan Szablewski’s eight points led Lincoln-Way Central (1-5), which shot only 11-of-38 from the free-throw line.
Injuries affected both teams as Hinsdale Central played without leading scorer Matt Bogue and sixth man Matt Brown, while Lincoln-Way Central didn’t have James Augustine.
Holy Trinity 65, Clemente 56: Holy Trinity (4-2) won as Devonsha Pope scored 23 points and Deon Smith added 14.
Kirkland-Hiawatha 77, Mooseheart 56: Brian Mielke scored 32 points and Jacob Johnson added 18 as Hiawatha (4-4) rolled. Kenny Cunningham had 23 points for Mooseheart (3-4).
Libertyville 72, Round Lake 42: Austin Yarc, Pete Silvestri and Ben Ingstrom had 16 points apiece as the Wildcats (6-1) romped.
Neuqua Valley 86, East Aurora 58: Keelan Amelianovich’s 19 points led the Wildcats (7-1, 3-0) in the Upstate Eight rout. Josh Wesley added 17 points for Neuqua Valley, which scored the game’s first 16 points.
Darice Venson’s 28 points led East Aurora (4-3, 2-1).
Oak Park 50, Glenbard West 38: Chris Newell scored 18 points and Warren Biggins contributed nine points and eight rebounds as the Huskies (3-4, 1-2) won their first West Suburban Silver game in almost two years. Oak Park was 14-of-16 from the free-throw line to help cement the victory.
Palatine 55, St. Viator 46: Cassidy Peterson and Mack Trent scored 16 points apiece to lead the Pirates (4-3).
St. Francis de Sales 58, Bremen 50: John Suski scored 15 points and Paul Marciniak added 14 as the Pioneers (2-3) held on.
St. Joseph 68, Evanston 67 (OT): Terrence Smith scored 21 points and freshman Tony Freeman’s four-point play with 1:23 left in overtime giving the Chargers the win. St. Joseph (4-2) outscored the Wildkits 10-2 in the final 1:51 of regulation, including a running, foul-line jumper from Akeem Miskdeem at the buzzer to tie the game 62-62. Stacey Moragne had 19 points to lead Evanston (4-2).
Stevenson 48, Vernon Hills 45: Rueben Trotter and Greg Zimny scored 15 points each to lead the Patriots (6-3) to the win.
Westminster Christian 80, Luther South 71: Carl Kerby had 34 points and Brad Jansen added 17 points to lead Westminster (3-4).
