A Lisle man, under investigation for two months, has been arrested and charged with possessing cocaine and marijuana he allegedly intended to sell.
Paul Gnat, 45, of 5617 Snowdrop Lane, was in the DuPage County Jail on Thursday, charged with having more than 2 pounds of marijuana, almost 200 grams of cocaine and about $75,000 in cash that police believe was obtained through illegal drug transactions.
Sheriff John Zaruba said Grant had been under suspicion since July. Last weekend he was stopped by sheriff’s police for a traffic violation near Lisle.
During the traffic stop, police allegedly found cocaine and cash in his car. They then obtained a search warrant for his home, where more drugs and cash were recovered, police said.
He will be arraigned Oct. 15.
