Olin Kreutz vs. Baltimore Trilogy of Terror
Kreutz is among the NFL’s quickest centers and best at interior-line adjustments. Against Ravens tackles Sam Adams and Tony Siragusa, Kreutz must deliver quick double-team help to guards Rex Tucker and Chris Villarrial and then take on MVP MLB Ray Lewis for the Bears to have any success running the ball.
WR David Terrell vs. DB James Trapp
When the Bears go “three wide” rookie Terrell will face veteran nickel corner Trapp in a matchup the Bears must win and win big. Terrell’s ability to work the entire field and force the Ravens to drop a LB or S to help out opens the field for the run and is the Bears’ best chance for big plays.
Bears safeties vs. TE Shannon Sharpe
Sharpe will become the all-time TE leader in catches, yards and TDs. He is a big-strike receiver who is without peer at exploiting seams, and now has a QB in Elvis Grbac who can do damage that Trent Diller could not.
